Your history stays on your devices
Swaddl is made by nyyx LLC. It helps parents and caregivers record Sleep, Diaper, Feed, Pump, notes, photos, and optional child profiles. You can use the current app without creating an account.
Swaddl stores your records, child names and portraits, notes, finalized dictation transcripts, recordings, and attached photos on your device. It does not upload this history to nyyx servers or use it for advertising. The current app has no advertising or third-party analytics SDK.
Speech, camera, and permissions
Dictation uses on-device speech recognition and, when available, an on-device language model. Swaddl does not send your speech or baby history to a cloud speech or AI service. Your operating system may need to download speech or model assets before these features are available. Manual logging remains available without a language model.
Swaddl asks for microphone and speech permissions for dictation, camera permission for photos and family invitation scanning, and photo selection access for child portraits. Local-network permission supports nearby family sharing. You can change these permissions in device Settings. Declining a permission prevents the corresponding feature; manual tracking remains available.
Questions and activity
Questions about recorded history and activity views use your existing records on your device. On-device models can help interpret questions; Swaddl does not send those questions or results to cloud AI. These features show recorded facts, not medical advice.
Nearby family sharing
Family sharing is optional. Scanning an invitation and accepting the pairing establishes a connection between family devices. Paired devices exchange existing child profiles and history, including associated notes, photos, finalized source transcripts, and recordings, while connected to the same Wi-Fi with Swaddl open. Transfers are authenticated and encrypted. nyyx does not operate a cloud relay for this feature.
Only pair with people you intend to share this history with. Removing a device stops this phone’s direct synchronization with that device. It does not erase copies already shared or remove independent pairings maintained by other family devices.
Storage and widgets
Swaddl encrypts its local database with SQLCipher. The database key is kept in operating-system secure storage. Photos and recordings are separate files protected by the device’s app sandbox and operating-system protections; SQLCipher does not encrypt those files.
An optional home-screen widget displays a local summary for the selected child. It receives only the information needed for that display, including the optional child name, recent action details, and daily totals. It does not receive your full database, notes, photos, or recordings. Someone able to view your home screen may see widget information, subject to your device’s privacy settings.
Swaddl provides no nyyx cloud backup or recovery service. Device backups and copies in your photo library are governed by your operating system and your backup/library settings. Losing the device or deleting the app can make locally stored history unavailable. Keep device access and pairing invitations private.
Retention and deletion
You can delete a history row by holding it and choosing Delete. This removes the visible canonical record and prevents dictation completion from recreating that row. Deletion does not immediately erase every source transcript, recording, prior edit, or synchronization journal entry: some are retained locally to recover finalized dictation, preserve conflicting edits, and synchronize with paired devices. A file may remain referenced by another record, child profile, or synchronization entry.
Swaddl does not currently provide a complete in-app purge of all local source material. Deleting the app removes its app-container data according to your operating system; device backups, OS secure storage, shared widget storage, photo-library originals, and other devices’ copies are governed separately. Removing a family device does not retract data already received by it. nyyx cannot remotely erase history that remains only on your devices.
Support and beta feedback
If you email support@swaddl.app, the information you choose to include leaves your device and reaches our support inbox and email providers. We use that information to answer your request and investigate the issue. Avoid sending baby history, recordings, or identifying photos unless they are needed and you choose to share them.
TestFlight is operated by Apple. Apple may provide us with beta feedback, screenshots, crash reports, and testing metrics under its TestFlight terms. Those reports can contain information you choose to submit. This is separate from Swaddl’s local history storage.
This website
Our website is hosted by Cloudflare Pages. Serving and securing the site involves processing ordinary connection data such as your IP address, requested URL, browser information, and request time. This website has no advertising, analytics scripts, accounts, or forms that collect baby history. Cloudflare’s handling of connection data is described in its privacy policy. Emailing support is separate from browsing this site.
Children and changes
Swaddl is intended for parents and caregivers. Child profile information and care records are entered by those users and handled as described above. Swaddl does not require a child to create an account.
If Swaddl’s data practices change, we will update this policy. Questions about this policy or information you sent to support can be addressed to support@swaddl.app.
